Artist Statement

For as long as I can remember I have loved the way it feels to look through a camera and  capture moments in time.  At age seventeen I began apprenticing under an award winning Wedding Photographer and Portrait Artist and this began the journey that led me to becoming a professional photographer. 

In 1998 PERCEPTIONS was created and since that time I have had the honor to document people and  families at their most breathtaking moments. 

Every portrait is as unique as the individuals comprised in them, and each event unfolds in its own special way. 

My philosophy is to know each client’s vision and to then capture each precious moment with classic glamour and just the right touch of modern flair.

Whenever possible, I shoot in beautiful, natural settings with ambient light.  I love creating portraits that will inspire my clients for decades.
